In the early year of the institute, children entered school at an older age. During 1990 92, the average age of children entering school was more than 8 years and 11 months. For child mental, social and physical developmental growth first 5 yearsof its life is more important than the rest of life. This is very important for a deaf child. If a child's deafness is recognízed as early as possible, appropriate hearing aids are provided to the child, and training is started early, the results are likely to be very good. Because of this it was decided to add a pre-primary section along with the primary school for the purpose of laying a strong foundation for the child's development. IF a child above two years of age enters the institution, he/she and his/her guardian can be trained simultaneously. Dhirjaba Deaf Pre Primary School was started with financial support from Mr. Rameshbh¡i R. Parikh and his Parikh Transport family, who has been associated with the organization since its inception and rendered valuable service as treasurer of the organization for a long time..
With the efforts of the organization and increasing public awareness in the society, children as young as two and half years of age have also started coming for training. Whose training is started with their mother. A child begins to learn listening and speaking under the mother's supervision. Along with the child, the mother also takes an active part in this training. Children started to learn listening and speaking under mother's supervision. Along with the child, the mother also takes an active part in their training. Mothers are informed about deaf upbringing, education and special issues arising from the child's deafness. And thus in future the trained mother becomes a very important link between the deaf child and the hearing society. A child who is trained in pre-primary school is given the facility to continue his studies even while staying in the school hostel after the age of 5 years. At present, the average age of children at the time of admission is reduced from 8 year and 11 month to 4 years and 11 months and the children are developing better in primary school. Due to the intensive efforts made after 1996, total duration of study year is reduced from 10 year to 7 year in 2004 in Our institute. By this way the expenses incurred in the 3 years of the child's life are also saved. With this observation other institutions have also started implementing this initiative. Educational achievements in primary school is always due to good performance of pre-primary department
